FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: live cartridge simulator comprises a capsule, a case, a propellant charge and a projectile. Inside the case there is a cylindrical bushing connected to the bottom of the cartridge, squeezed by the case at the mouth so that the case and the cylindrical bushing together form an annular cavity filled with a propellant charge having a burning rate, at which pressure of gases formed during combustion reaches its critical value, at which flaring of the case at the mouth occurs, when the bullet has already flown out of the barrel. Thrown projectile is made with diameter of not more than 4.5 mm and is placed inside cylindrical bushing. Cylindrical bushing is equipped with ignition holes made with possibility of ignition of propellant charge from sparks and flame created by actuation of capsule.
EFFECT: enabling creation of a live cartridge simulator, which cannot be used as a live cartridge, but which ensures operation of the weapon automation engine — backward movement of the bolt, ejection of the simulator of a live cartridge beyond the limits of the weapon, cocking of the firing mechanism, movement of the bolt forward and sending the new simulator into the chamber.
