FIELD: transportation; various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of ice removal from aircraft engine fan blades in flight and can be used in transport facilities, such as airplanes, helicopters, ground-effect vehicles. Disclosed is a method of removing ice from aircraft engine fan blades in flight using a laser anti-icing system connected to an on-board network and comprising an energy source, an optical quantum generator (OQG), regulator OQG and collimator, which consists in generation in pulse mode of at least two beams of laser beams directed to middle sections of icy surface of diametrically opposite blades of fan with specified frequency of laser beam pulse start-up.
EFFECT: ensuring flight safety in case of icing of aircraft engine fan blades during flight due to pulsed heating with laser beams of iced blades with formation of cracks in ice layer and removal of ice during creation of pulse vibrations.
