FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of explosive materials (EM) application and can be used for destruction of wastes, including hazardous, medical, at the facilities of mining enterprises, where blasting operations are carried out. Method for destruction of hazardous wastes at mining enterprises by means of detonation using an explosive charge involves placing wastes in a container. Containers are placed inside the EM charge or around the EM charge in contact with it in the near zone of the explosion, which is up to 10–15 radii of the EM charge, wherein the EM used is an individual EM or a mixture of EM. Combustible components chemically compatible with waste, i.e. oil products, alcohols, metal powders or their alloys or oxidising agents – saltpetre, or together an oxidising agent or oxidising agents and combustible component or combustible components – are added to a container with wastes. Method is carried out in the charging cavity of the well or in the mine working with the possibility of rock crushing. Containers used are containers, capsules, sleeves or shells made of materials that are destroyed during detonation of EM together with wastes. Wastes containing metals, rare-earth elements or other substances are placed in mines of those mining enterprises where minerals, ores of these metals, elements or other substances are extracted.

EFFECT: improvement of ecological situation due to absence of necessity to place wastes, burial and creation of equipment, as well as special production facilities for wastes processing.
