FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to temperature control of payload during prelaunch preparation of carrier rocket. Payload is thermostated in the zone of its location under the nose cone of the carrier rocket by natural convection of the gaseous medium, which occurs due to the temperature gradient along the inner wall of the nose cone. Heat carrier (gaseous medium) is supplied through the distributing manifold into the longitudinal-slotted channels formed by the nose cone spars, achieving uniform distribution of medium on surface of the nose cone inner wall. To prevent the ambient medium flowing into the zone under the nose cone, the heat carrier is supplied with excess pressure relative to the incoming wind flow.
EFFECT: exclusion of interaction of heat carrier with payload and thus reduction of requirements to quality and parameters (including speed) of heat carrier, as well as reduction of power consumption for its preparation.
