FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method of measuring coordinates of a magnetic dipole consists in measuring coordinates of a magnetic object in conditions of variations of geomagnetic field by simultaneous measurement of difference of resonance frequencies of two magnetometers as part of moving quantum gradiometer with fixed base, arranged in a plane parallel to the plane in which the desired magnetic object is located. With a certain orientation of the base of the gradiometer relative to the direction of its movement, the operability of the method does not depend on the orientation of the magnetic moment of the object relative to the base of the gradiometer.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring coordinates of the desired magnetic object.
