FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a vinyl chloride type polymer. Method for the production of a vinyl chloride type polymer consists in the production of a vinyl chloride type polymer, as a result of polymerisation of a vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture of vinyl chloride monomer and a monomer copolymerised with vinyl chloride monomer, in an aqueous medium using a polymerisation reactor, wherein the method involves: loading an aqueous solution of a copolymerised polyether having a weight-average molecular weight in the range of between 1000 and 3500 and a molar ratio between ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in range of 10/90 and 60/40, into a polymerisation reactor in an amount in the range of between 0.005 and 0.050 parts by weight in form of a copolymerised polyether relative to 100 parts by weight of the vinyl chloride monomer, where during polymerisation the aqueous solution of the copolymerised polyether is added at the polymerisation stage at a degree of polymerisation in the range of between 30 and 80%.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method which enables to produce a vinyl chloride type polymer, wherein during the production of the vinyl chloride type polymer, foaming of the polymer suspension formed during polymerisation using a polymerisation reactor can be suppressed, and in addition thereto there is no adverse effect on quality, such as bulk density, of the thus obtained vinyl chloride type polymer.
