FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor equipment driven by reciprocating power electromagnets used in oil and gas industry. In the method of controlling a power electromagnet, which includes controlling the movement of the armature by changing the voltage, an electromagnet of an axisymmetric structure with two working gaps between the stator and an anchor, with a non-zero value of the skew angle between the generatrix of the contacting surfaces between the stator and the armature and the perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the electromagnet magnetic conductor. Determining the parameters of the ellipse passing through points A and B, formed by the first axis located on the section EF, formed by the intersection of the anchor surface facing the stator and the secant plane, and a second axis located on a section perpendicular to the first axis and passing through the middle of the CM section at the maximum value of the working gap between the stator and the electromagnet armature. Distance AC from point A, which is the middle of the segment EF, to point C, which is the point of projection of the middle of segment K1M1, corresponding to the segment KM at an arbitrary relative position of the stator on the ellipse. And the voltage value is changed during the armature movement in proportion to the AC distance.
EFFECT: providing oscillating, non-shock nature of movement of the anchor.
