FIELD: coke industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coke-chemical industry and can be used for cooling and cleaning of coke oven gas. Method of cleaning coke gas includes cooling of coke gas by spraying with process water in a closed cycle, then directing coke gas to the inlet of sulphate compartment, in which ammonia is trapped from coke oven gas and ammonium sulphate is produced. Ammonia is trapped by a non-saturating method using a sulfuric acid solution in absorption lines with subsequent supply of the obtained solution to crystallizers for growing ammonium sulphate crystals. Further, final cooling of coke gas to temperature of +25...+35 °C, then directing gas into benzene compartment and trapping benzene by spraying gas with absorbing oil, further, crude benzene is separated by steam blowing and crude benzene and cleaned reverse coke gas is sent to the consumer.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of ammonia losses and increase of benzene production.
