FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry and is intended to prevent clogging of the upper stages of a submersible centrifugal pump with mechanical impurities, settling from the tubing when the pump is stopped. Sludge trap for submersible centrifugal pump contains cylindrical housing with internal and external connection threads, in the stepped hole of which a pipe is installed, on the upper end of the pipe there is a tip with holes for fluid passage and a centraliser installed by means of a threaded connection. Pipe is made of at least two pipe sections interconnected by an intermediate centralizer and a coupling, at that, the intermediate centraliser is equipped with centring projections, the tip is made with perforation along the entire surface, centraliser is made of metal plates located to each other at angle of 45 degrees and in the lower part is fixed to the tip, at that, on the surface of the metal plates there are stepped slots providing the arrangement of the neodymium magnets, and width of metal plates is less than inner diameter of tubing.

EFFECT: creation of a sludge trap for a submersible centrifugal pump, allowing to increase the reliability of the electrically driven centrifugal pump installation due to the high-quality centring of the sludge trap inside the tubing string with prevention of the tubing string flow section reduction, effective trapping of mechanical impurities, exclusion of pistoning effect during lowering and lifting.
