FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil production technology and is designed to prevent clogging of upper stages of submerged centrifugal pump by mechanical impurities, settling from tubing when pump stops. Device includes cylindrical body, inside which there is slurry tube, upper part of which is closed with cylindrical plug, and in its lower part there is non-return valve. Annular chamber formed by outer wall of slurry tube and inner wall of cylindrical body, communicates with internal cavity of slurry pipe by means of through-holes formed in wall of slurry tube and arranged in several rows. In saddle of non-return valve, throttling channel is made connecting internal cavity of slurry pipe to pump outlet, and check valve element of check valve is made in form of ball freely resting on saddle.

EFFECT: increase in reliability and operating time of submersible pump is ensured by providing possibility of washing out sludge settling in sludge tank when pump is stopped.
