FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting plants and can be used in agriculture for controlling dicotyledonous and cereal weeds in cereal crops. Herbicidal composition for protecting maize crops contains mesotrione (I), nicosulfuron (II) and aminopyralide (III). Weight ratio of components I:II:III is within (2÷70):(1÷40):(0.1÷6). For preparing the preparative forms, it additionally contains agrochemically acceptable excipients, such as fillers, diluents, surfactants, acidity regulators, thickeners, antifoaming agents, antifreezes, biocides and/or dyes. Composition can be presented in the form of an emulsion concentrate, an oil dispersion, a suspoemulsion, a suspension concentrate or water-dispersible granules. Present composition is applied on weeds to be destroyed and places of their growth, preliminarily diluted with water.
EFFECT: disclosed herbicidal composition provides high biological protection of maize crops against a wide range of weeds, increases its yield.
