SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction industry and can be used during repair works to improve quality of finishing of internal surfaces in premises and to impart aesthetic qualities to surface, in particular, to fastening profile and method of its installation. Method of mounting a separating-decorative profile to the plane of the ceiling consists in the fact that a profile comprising a base and two ribs protruding perpendicular to the base, forming a U-shaped cavity in the cross section, are attached to the plane of the ceiling by means of the embedded shelf using fasteners and the finishing material is fixed to the outer surface of the protruding ribs of the profile, LED strip is installed in U-shaped cavity of profile formed by inner surface of protruding ribs, diffuser is installed in grooves made on inner side of protruding ribs of profile.

EFFECT: creation of a method for mounting a separating-decorative profile to a wall, which enables to decorate the end face of the finish by attaching the separating-decorative profile.
