FIELD: road construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in construction of structural layers of road pavements. Modifying complex additive for base of road pavement made of soils and materials reinforced with cement is a finely dispersed white or light gray powder, containing salts of higher carboxylic acids, chlorides of alkali or alkali-earth metals, hydrated aluminum silicates in the following ratio of components, wt %: salts of higher carboxylic acids 25–75, chlorides of alkali or alkali-earth metals 20–70, hydrated aluminosilicates 5–45. Cement-reinforced road pavement base contains a crude mixture of components, including cement, water and said complex modifying additive at the following ratio of components, wt %: cement 2–20, water 2–20, complex modifying additive 2–4 % of weight of cement, material (soil) for reinforcement—the rest.

EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical characteristics of the cement-reinforced material together with the complex modifying additive, in particular, increase of its strength properties, reduction of water absorption and water saturation, increase of frost resistance, increase of average density and bearing capacity, reduction of swelling and, as a result, increased durability and reliability of structural layers of road pavements or earth bed reinforced with cement, as well as wider field of application of reusable materials in construction.
