SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation instrumentation and can be used in visual and optical magnetic compasses. Essence of the proposed technical solution is as follows. Magnetic compass comprises a sealed pot filled with compass fluid, a pin arranged inside the pot with a magnetic sensitive element mounted thereon, wherein the compass fluid contains 50% polymethylsiloxane fluid of the PMS-5 type and 50% of a heat-stabilizing additive in the form of polymethylsiloxane fluid of the PMS-1.5R type.

EFFECT: improved performance of magnetic compasses.
