FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic course indicator for speed vessels comprises a transparent body of a pot made in the form of a sphere, filled with compass fluid, a magnetosensitive element arranged inside the body and comprising a float, a scale, magnets and a support unit, where a compass needle is inserted. The magnetic course indicator additionally comprises a sensor of electronic transmission of a course signal located at the bottom of the compass body so that one of its receivers of the horizontal component of the magnetic field of earth Hx lies on the diametral line of the pot body, and the second receiver Hy is perpendicular to it. The magnetosensitive element has positive buoyancy in compass fluid, the support unit of the magnetosensitive element is made in the form of a cone, magnets of the magnetosensitive element are located below the centre of the support centre, on the side surface of the float along the perimeter there is a scale for visual count of the course.

EFFECT: simplified design, increased accuracy of count pickup.
