SUBSTANCE: device comprises at least one water collecting device (10, 20, 30, 40, 64), made for collecting and/or storing water and directly or indirectly communicating with buffer tank (60) and/or with accumulation tank (80). Buffer tank (60) and/or accumulation tank (80) is (are) made for storage of water and ensuring availability of stored water for household use. Device also comprises at least one control unit (61, 130), which is configured to receive and/or record data on the environment and, based on the environment data, by means of at least one actuator (84), to ensure control of volumetric flow rate of water from buffer tank (60) and/or from storage tank (80) for its use. Buffer tank (60) and/or storage tank (80) include(s) a modular infiltration system, at least partially wrapped with waterproofing cloth (69). Method consists in collecting and/or storing water using at least one water collecting device (10, 20, 30, 40) and directing the collected water into buffer tank (60) and/or into storage tank (80). Method also consists in obtaining and/or recording by means of control unit (130) data on environment, controlling volumetric flow rate of water from buffer tank (60) and/or accumulation tank (80) to network (85) of irrigation pipes depending on data on environment to provide volume of water for household use. When control unit (130) receives data on the environment, which contains information informing on heavy rain, buffer tank (60) and/or storage tank (80) is (are) actively or passively emptied.
EFFECT: possibility to collect water and retain it for controlled release in dry periods.
