STORM DRAIN WELL Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E03F5/04 B01D29/00

Abstract RU 2816981 C2

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drainage devices. Storm drain well (1) comprises storm water inlet (2), filter (3) for removing solid particles from storm water, comprising cylindrical housing (4), housing contains man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), connected by cured binder composition. Cylindrical housing comprises hollow centre (5) and outer wall (6). Well (1) also has guide element (7) for directing water from the inlet into the cylindrical housing, settling chamber (8) for precipitation of particles from storm water. Cylindrical housing is located under the inlet and above the settling chamber. Well contains outlet (9) for filtered water and separating element (10) for separation of settling chamber from outlet. Outlet is located above the settling chamber and under the inlet. Density of the cylindrical body is in range of 50 to 200 kg/m3, the content of the binder is in range of 2 to 5 wt.% and the circumferential thickness of the outer wall is in range of 2 cm to 20 cm. Filter (3) for storm drainage well contains cylindrical housing (4) containing man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), connected by cured binder composition. Cylindrical housing comprises hollow centre (5) and outer wall (6). Density of the cylindrical body is in range of 50 to 200 kg/m3, the content of the binder is in range of 2 to 5 wt.% and the circumferential thickness of the outer wall is in range of 2 cm to 20 cm. Filter (3) is used to remove solid particles from storm water, wherein the filter comprises cylindrical housing (4) containing man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF) connected by a cured binder composition. Method of filter installation in storm drainage well consists of stages, where filter (3) is introduced into storm drainage well, besides, filter contains cylindrical housing (4) containing man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), connected with hardened binder composition. Cylindrical housing comprises hollow centre (5) and outer wall (6). Density of the cylindrical body is in range of 50 to 200 mg/m3, the content of the binder is in range of 2 to 5 wt.% and the circumferential thickness of the outer wall is in range of 2 cm to 20 cm. Method of emptying said storm drain well comprises steps of introducing a storm drain well extractor through an inlet and a hollow centre of a cylindrical housing into a settling chamber, use of an extractor of a storm drainage well for removal of sediment in a settling chamber and removal of the storm drain well extractor from the settling chamber, the hollow centre of the cylindrical housing and the inlet. Storm drainage well shell comprises a housing containing storm water inlet (2), filter (3) for removal of solid particles from storm water, filter comprises cylindrical body (4) containing man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), which are connected by a cured binder composition. Cylindrical housing comprises hollow centre (5) and outer wall (6). Storm drainage well shell also comprises guide element (7) for directing water from inlet into cylindrical housing, settling chamber (8) for settling solid particles from storm water, filtered water outlet (9) and separating element (10) for separation of settling chamber from outlet. Cylindrical housing is located under the inlet and above the settling chamber. Outlet is located above the settling chamber and under the inlet. Density of the cylindrical body is in range of 50 to 200 mg/m3, the content of the binder is in range of 2 to 5 wt.% and the circumferential thickness of the outer wall is in range of 2 cm to 20 cm.

EFFECT: providing creation of filter for storm drainage well, which is stable and rigid with longer service life, hydrophilic, at the same time, it does not require removal during cleaning of the well; creation of a filtering system for a storm drainage well with improved filtration is also provided.
