SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing compound 2, having a structure presented below, which involves the following steps: step 1-1) selective debromination of 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-7-amine as a starting material using a brominating reagent and obtaining 4,6-dibromo-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-7-amine; step 1-2) introduction of 4,6-dibromo-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-7-amine obtained at step 1-1) into Sandmeyer reaction for chlorination to obtain 4,6-dibromo-7-chloro-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran and step 2-1) selective debromination of 4,6-dibromo-7-chloro-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran obtained in step 1-2), using a strong base, and then reacting with 4-cyclopropylbenzaldehyde to obtain compound 2. Invention also relates to a method of producing compound 1.

EFFECT: method of producing intermediate compounds 1 and 2 with high output for producing an inhibitor of a sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter, characterized by mild synthesis conditions, fewer steps and availability of reagents.
