THERMOMECHANICAL MASS OF PEA STRAW AND METHOD OF MAKING PAPER AND CARDBOARD FROM IT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC D21F11/12 D21B1/12 

FIELD: textiles and paper; manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of paper pulp. Method of producing paper pulp containing waste fiber, semi-finished product of high output, gluing and reinforcing components for making paper and cardboard from it includes the following stages: preparation of waste paper, which is carried out by dispersing it to a degree of grinding of 35–50°SR with production of fibrous mass. At that, as semi-finished product of high output there used is thermomechanical mass of pea straw, obtained by steaming it at temperature of 60–90 °C for 20–30 minutes in the presence of a surfactant and carbamide, wherein condensate is separated from steaming, and pea straw is subjected to thermal treatment at temperature of 100–130 °C for 20–60 minutes, followed by grinding and screening. Further, the waste fiber and the thermomechanical mass are mixed in ratio of 20:80 to 80:20 to obtain a fiber mixture, and then a sizing component is added to the fiber mixture in amount of 1.5–2.5 kg/t of the absolutely dry fiber weight and a reinforcing component in amount of 4.0–6.0 kg/t of the absolutely dry fiber weight. Further, a paper mass is obtained, which is dehydrated, pressed and dried.

EFFECT: disclosed method is simple and effective, since it enables to obtain paper for corrugation and cardboard for flat layers of cardboard from waste paper and thermomechanical mass obtained from pea straw, at optimum selected ratio of said components.
