FIELD: road construction; installation of road signs.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a device for fixing a road sign by flanging, relates to devices intended for attachment to supports of road signs and other similar information surfaces. Road sign fastening device for its perimeter flanging, comprising a clamp, having in the middle a sign retention assembly, consisting of a clamping part — a platform, and a support part — an insert, in the L-shaped gap between which the fixed part of the sign is clamped, and the insert has its support base on the pillar in the form of paired bulges on it and side walls adjacent to the sides of the platform, having the same width with it, which above flanging have cut-off elements, which are bent with support against side walls of insert in their smaller in height stepped part for fastening on flanging of platform and insert. Assembly includes a platform with its lateral sides and an insert with its walls adjacent to these sides. Assembly is the middle part in two unified links of the clamp. Length of the platform is not less than 0.75 of the diameter of the pillar, and its clamping part is separated by bites from its lateral sides.

EFFECT: changing only the shape of parts of this type of attachment for signs, which are made from thin sheet steel with area of up to one square meter and wind load of up to 100 kg, provision of their reliable fixation on supports and simplification of their installation on the pillar due to preliminary fixation of the clamp on the sign flanging.
