FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of rare-earth elements from apatite concentrate during nitric acid processing of apatite into complex mineral fertilizers and can be used in chemical and related industries. Method comprises sorption of rare-earth elements from nitric-phosphate solution on sorbent, which is represented by a solid extractant containing N,N,N´,N´-tetraoctyldiglycolamide as an active component. Desorption of rare-earth elements from saturated sorbent is carried out with a desorbing solution, which is a solution with concentration of nitric acid 0.01–0.1 mol/dm3. A concentrate of rare-earth elements is deposited from the obtained desorbate.
EFFECT: method provides higher selectivity and degree of extraction of rare-earth elements from nitric-phosphate solution.
