FIELD: chemistry; ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of technical refractory ceramics, specifically to compositions of mixtures for producing cordierite heat-resistant ceramics. Composition of the mixture for producing cordierite ceramics, which includes refractory clay, talc and alumina, according to the invention, aluminium oxide nanofibres are added at the following ratio of components, wt.%: refractory clay 44.0–47.8, talc 34.8–36.8, alumina 14.4–19.1, aluminium oxide nanofibres 0.1–1.0.
EFFECT: increased output of cordierite, increased heat resistance and strength of refractory ceramics with simultaneous increase of mixture reactivity due to introduction of aluminium oxidenanofibres.
