FIELD: fire safety of buildings and structures.
SUBSTANCE: essence of the technical solution is expressed in thermal testing of reinforced concrete columns with high percentage of reinforcement (more than 3 %) without destruction by a set of single indicators of column quality. To this end, determining the geometric dimensions of the main section of the column, thermophysical and fire-technical characteristics of the concrete and longitudinal reinforcement, the conditions for fixing the column, heating scheme of angular and middle rods of longitudinal reinforcement, limiting temperature of their heating. Description of process of reinforced concrete column resistance to fire effect is represented by analytical dependence, which takes into account depth of longitudinal reinforcement rods, reduced index of their heating conditions, limiting temperature of reinforcement heating, coefficient of thermal diffusion of protective concrete layer. Using this analytical relationship, actual limit of fire resistance of reinforced concrete column with high (more than 3 %) percentage of reinforcement is determined.
EFFECT: application of the proposed technical solution enables to evaluate fire resistance of a reinforced concrete column without full-scale fire testing, increases reliability of non-destructive tests, reduces economic costs by 10 and more times.
