FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of armoring a vehicle with the possibility of providing bulletproof and splinterproof protection. For this purpose, parameters of armor protection elements are simulated, taking into account data on properties of the used ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and technical characteristics of the vehicle, previously entered into the software base. Further, a virtual model of the armoring structure of the vehicle is made, consisting of digital templates of separate armored protective elements. For each armor protective element calculating required number of armor plates, sufficient to provide a given class of resistance of a part of the vehicle to damaging elements. In accordance with the developed templates, flexible armor plates are cut and assembled into armor protective elements, which are flexible armored packages, equipped with means of holding armored plates relative to each other. Mounting of armored protective elements is performed by means of fastening elements made of flexible material with possibility of fitting the relief of surface contacting with surface of fasteners.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of armoring a vehicle.
