SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition for immediately stopping free-radical polymerisation of a free-radical polymerisable monomer and/or for stabilizing a free-radical polymerisable monomer. Composition contains a compound of formula: R₁OOC-A-CONR₂R₃, where R₁, R₂ and R₃ are identical or different and represent C₁-C₆-alkyl, and a free-radical polymerisation inhibitor. Free radical polymerisation inhibitor is selected from a phenothiazine derivative, para-methoxyphenol and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-oxyl (TEMPO).

EFFECT: obtained composition is capable of immediately terminating undesirable polymerisation, and also exhibits improved properties in terms of polymerisation inhibitor concentration and viscosity and can also be used in a wide temperature range, besides, the composition is safe, easier to handle and has less effect on the environment.
