SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of decontaminating oil sludge accumulated at oil refineries, at oil production sites, formed during transportation and storage of oil in tanks. Mixture based on oil sludge, consisting of 79 wt.% of oil sludge, 10 wt.% of sand, 10 wt.% of peat and 1 wt.% polymer sorbent "Unisorb" adding nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer diammophos with ratio N₂:P₂O₅ from 1:2.5 to 1:5.0 — at rate of 7 kg per 1,000 kg of mixture; preparation "Hydrobreak" — at rate of 10 l per 1,000 kg of the mixture; "Destroil" preparation is in form of 0.3% suspension prepared from a paste-like form of the preparation at rate of 1 l per 1,000 kg of the mixture. All the components are added to the oil sludge in turn, after which the mixture is mechanically mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Soil moisture is 60–65%, reclamation is carried out for 2–3 months, air temperature is +19…+24 °C, with daily mixing of the obtained mixture.

EFFECT: reduced content of oil products in oil sludge.
