FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is intended for use as a proportional rotary actuator in automatic control systems (ACS) of internal combustion engines (ICE). Electromagnetic rotary actuator comprises a housing in the form of a hollow cylinder, in which an electromagnet winding and a composite stator are fixed. Left and right plates of the stator poles are made from magnetically soft material and are placed at both ends of the winding. Stator is fixedly connected to two end covers, in which a rotary shaft with an assembled armature is installed on bearings, which consists of a core and left and right end disks of the armature, which are made from magnetically permeable material with the possibility of rotation around its axis. In addition, the electromagnetic rotary actuator is equipped with a cam installed on the shaft with the possibility of angular adjustment with fixation of its position by means of two screws. Besides, it is equipped with a rotary spring rigidly coupled by one end with the cam and by the other end with the spring cup rigidly mounted on the left end cover. Besides, it is equipped with shaft angular position sensor rigidly installed on spring cup. Both end disks of the armature are made in the form of a cylinder and are equipped with air slots forming magnetic shunts, at invariable height of both the armature and the pole and at invariable value of the air gap between the poles of the stator and the armature.
EFFECT: wider operating range of the actuator, higher energy efficiency.
