FIELD: electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: electric drive that may be found useful for driving machines and mechanisms of clothing, shoe, and textile manufacture as well as for automatic-control and machine- building systems using mechanisms and devices meant for frequent on/off operation has been designed using physical combination principle implying integration of overhung induction motor, electromagnetic clutch, and braking coupling in common housing depending for their operation on interaction between eddy currents built up in coupling or clutch armature and magnetic fields of their field coils. Magnetic system of clutch is disposed on central disk of output shaft mounted in bearings of drive housing base endshield and separated through small annular gap from flywheel-rim of motor rotor. Rotor is mounted in bearings disposed on output shaft and its flywheel-rim functions as armature clutch. Energizing the field coil of clutch sets rotor in motion, and output shaft starts rotating. Magnetic system of braking coupling is disposed outside of drive housing endshield and is separated through small air gap from annular rim of braking disk mounted on output shaft. Deenergizing the clutch coil and energizing the braking coupling coil brakes the output shaft. Electric drive incorporates provision for adjusting axial play between surfaces of stator and rotor cores due to detachable construction of stator core and adjusting shims; mounted on supporting sleeve of rotor body is thrust bearing entered in split joint of stator endshield and supported by butt-end surfaces of locating screws driven in stator endshield. Self-cooling system incorporating a number of cooling ducts, cooling blades on rotor flywheel-rim, and holes for air stream inlet and outlet is provided to cool down heat-transfer members of electric drive. EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enhanced operating reliability, facilitated servicing, enlarged functional capabilities of drive. 6 cl, 1 dwg
