FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a detector for determining the state of a diaper, comprising a sensor unit, which comprises a conductive element having at least two electrodes which are configured to determine the electrical parameters of the environment thereof, connecting section at least at one end of conducting element, made with possibility of its connection with measuring device, and bearing layer, to which conducting element is attached. Measuring device comprises an input part configured to be connected to a sensor unit, a processor configured to receive signals which correspond to values of electrical parameters determined by the sensor unit, and processing said signals, a power control device configured to control power supplied from a power source, determining device configured to determine based on evaluation of processed signals using predetermined threshold values of electrical parameters for predetermined periods of time, whether the state of the diaper has changed, and a transmitting device configured to transmit to the receiving device information relating to the detected change in state.
EFFECT: measuring device is configured to perform resonance scanning, during which a periodic signal is transmitted to the sensor unit at several frequencies.
