FIELD: construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for making articles from polystyrene concrete for building envelopes. Polystyrene concrete is obtained from a mixture containing cement, sand, light aggregate—foam polystyrene granules, a complex additive and water. Mixture contains quartz sand with fineness modulus Mcr=1.63, light aggregate contains granules of foamed polystyrene with fraction of 3–5 mm and additionally crushed wastes of foamed polystyrene packaging with fraction of 5–10 mm at ratio of 1: 1, and the complex additive used is liquid glass and a polycarboxylate type superplasticizer MasterGlenium 115 in ratio of 5:1, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: cement—50–51, quartz sand with Mcr=1.63—30–31, mixture of foamed polystyrene granules and crushed foamed polystyrene packaging wastes—2.1–2.2, said complex additive—0.1–1.0, water—the rest.
EFFECT: high strength of polystyrene concrete, faster hardening of the polystyrene concrete mixture and high adhesion of foam polystyrene granules to the binder.
