FIELD: fishing and fish farming.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fish farming and can be used for treating parasitic diseases of fish. Method consists in the fact that fish is treated in therapeutic baths with a preparation based on praziquantel. Preparation used is a preparation containing praziquantel, benzyl alcohol, methylpyrrolidone and propylene glycol in the following ratio of ingredients, mg/ml: praziquantel 45.0–55.0, benzyl alcohol 0.1–0.2, methylpyrrolidone 0.3–0.4, propylene glycol – up to 1 ml. Preparation is introduced into therapeutic baths in amount of 0.05 to 0.4 ml/l of water, and the time of fish treatment is 0.5 to 24.0 hours.

EFFECT: method is highly effective against a wide range of parasitic disease agents in a wide range of fish species, and the used preparation has a long storage life and is well soluble in water.
