FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of refractory materials for blast furnaces for iron production. Anhydrous clay mass for a taphole of a blast furnace contains component A and component B. Component A includes homogenised bauxite, reduced silicon nitride in combination with silicon carbide, titanium dioxide, soft clay, carburizing agent, earth graphite, aluminum powder, silicon powder and carbon resin powder. Reduced silicon nitride in combination with silicon carbide has particle size less than 0.3 mm, is reusable material and contains more than 22 wt.% Si3N4 and more than 72 wt.% SiC. Component B is a binder which contains a thermosetting resin PN-77 with a phenol content of less than 5%, and a PN-66 petroleum resin with a benzopyrene content of less than 50 ppm, note here that there is no smoke at the blast furnace discharge site, which contributes to personnel health and environmental protection.
EFFECT: disclosed clay mass for a taphole is easy for drilling, has good resistance to erosion of slag iron at high temperature.
