SUBSTANCE: line of reference readings of the current block is defined. It is determined whether there is a candidate internal prediction mode that is the same as the internal prediction mode of the current block. The internal prediction mode of the current block is obtained based on the determination. Internal prediction is performed on the current block based on the reference sample line and the internal prediction mode. Additionally, it is determined whether the current block should be divided into a plurality of sub-blocks. When a current block is divided into a plurality of sub-blocks, the plurality of sub-blocks shares the same internal prediction mode. The transformation type in the horizontal direction of the sub-block is determined based on the width of the sub-block, and the transformation type in the vertical direction of the sub-block is determined based on the height of the sub-block. Conversion is skipped for some of the plurality of sub-blocks.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of video encoding.
