FIELD: chemical or physical processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of distillation liquid formed in production of soda ash by ammonia method. Filtrate containing sodium chloride, obtained after treatment of distillation liquid with sodium hydroxide and separation of calcium hydroxide precipitate, are subjected to electrochemical processing in four-chamber electrolysis unit with cation-exchange and anion-exchange membranes. Process is carried out at a membrane current density of up to 1,000 A/m2 and with specific consumption of electricity up to 3.4 GJ/m3 with extraction of NaCl of up to 98%.

EFFECT: invention provides processing of distillation liquid without obtaining gaseous chlorine.
