FIELD: processes for recovering bromine out of natural water, brines, technological solutions containing bromide-ions and chloride-ions. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of passing highly mineralized bromine-containing brine through anode chamber of double-chamber electrolyzer separated by means of anion-exchange membrane by anode and cathode chambers; passing solution of hydrochloric acid through cathode chamber in order to produce chlorine and to prevent sedimentation on cathode; using chlorine separated at electrolysis for oxidizing bromide ions; guiding brine flow passing through electrolyzer together with anode gas containing bromine and chlorine to desorber for mixing it with flow of initial brine in such a way that to provide maximum oxidation degree of bromide-ions in solution. Installation for performing the method includes electrolyzer, desorber, heat exchange system allowing to use heat separated at electrolysis and at bromine desorption for heating initial brine. It is possible to use highly mineralized brines containing ions of Ca and Mg.
