FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical contacts of electromechanical relays. Technical results are achieved by method of producing contacts for electromechanical relays based on graphite, the method involves mechanical fabrication of a workpiece from graphite with open porosity, which provides saturation of the workpiece with silver in the following ratio: at depth of 0 to 0.3 mm—40–60%, at a depth of more than 0.3 to 0.5 mm at least 30–35%, over 0.5 mm—the rest. Graphite-based contact is a porous body of revolution limited by a side surface and two parallel surfaces of bases, uniformly saturated with silver, which provides reliability and stability of electromechanical relay with such contacts.
EFFECT: increased stability of operation of electromechanical relays and improved electrotechnical characteristics electromechanical relay, reduced number of failures due to reduced contamination of working space, averaging electrical characteristics of contacts.
