SUBSTANCE: invention is used in construction and repair of buildings, structures, residential and non-residential premises. System for generating light for subsequent evaluation of surface quality for finish coating includes three light sources forming normal daytime scattered light – L1, artificial lighting of a building, structure, room – L2, and direct rays of the rising or setting sun, sliding on the surface at angle of 1 to 6 degrees from the surface, – L3, tightly applied to the surface to form light and shade and determine their categories – C1, or C2, or C3, or C4, wherein L2 serves to determine the presence of surface defects and their correlation to the corresponding category of surface deficiency – D1, or D2, or D3, or D4, wherein quality levels from K1 to K16 are determined based on compliance with the categories of light and shade and surface deficiency.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining defects.
