METHOD OF TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DISCRETE SIGNALS WITH ERROR DETECTION BASED ON SINGLE-SIDEBAND MODULATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC H04L27/32

Abstract RU 2820854 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and is intended for use in short-wave communication channels. Method of transmitting and receiving discrete signals with error detection based on single-sideband modulation further comprises, on the transmitting side, determining the value of the sum modulo two elements of the transmitted information unit, if the value of the sum is equal to one, then the phase of the carrier oscillation of the single-sideband modulation signal, formed at the operating frequency, is shifted by one hundred and eighty degrees, otherwise the phase is not shifted, after receiving the signal, the carrier wave of the single-sideband modulation signal is extracted, the restored carrier is formed, for which the phase of the selected carrier wave is multiplied by two, and then the multiplied phase value is divided by two, based on the allocated carrier wave of the single-sideband modulation signal, its phase and the first value of the sum modulo two of the received elements of the information unit are determined, simultaneously demodulating a single-sideband modulation signal based on a recovered carrier, and after receiving the resultant frequency-shift keyed signal, calculating the second value of the sum modulo two of the received information unit, comparing the first and second values of the sum and making a decision on the presence of errors.

EFFECT: detecting errors in receiving signal elements while maintaining maximum information transmission rate due to implementation of properties of codes with error detection based on permutation and single-band modulations.
