FIELD: packing and storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a closure for a neck of a thin-walled package. Closure assembly (1) for a flexible thin-wall package (P) includes a neck (S) and a closure (C). Closure comprises ring (40) attached to neck (S), cap (6) for inlet (20) and connecting element (50) connecting ring (40) with cap (6). Connecting part (70) of cap (6) is capable of engaging with connection area (72) of neck (S) in order to retain cap (6) in a predetermined position relative to neck (S). Neck (S) comprises lower plate (10) and lower flange (12) protruding radially outwards and located at distance from each other in axial direction so that they form connection socket (17) forming the above connection area (72).
EFFECT: providing the possibility to keep the cap permanently connected to the package by means of the connecting element connecting it to the neck, and at the same time the cap is in the position in which it does not interfere with the use of the neck.
