SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a burner and a device for firing ceramic articles, particularly for use in firing ceramic articles for making tiles. Burner (1) for firing ceramic articles (T), which can be installed in industrial furnace (2) comprises firing chamber (3), wherein burner (1) comprises: mixing element (5), comprising, in turn, at least one channel (6) for supplying fuel (FL) having a certain percentage of hydrogen, and at least one oxidant (OX) supply channel (7); spark device (8) for starting combustion; flame detection device (9); first tubular outlet element (11), which is configured to allow fluid (F) flowing from mixing element (5), and is equipped with first end (12), which includes at least part of mixing element (5), and second end (14), which is located opposite first end (12). Mixing element (5) comprises both a fuel separation system (FPS) for fuel (FL), which is configured to divide the fuel (FL) into a plurality of first parts (FL', FL'', FL'''), and oxidizer separation system (OPS) for oxidant (OX), which is configured to divide the oxidant (OX) into a plurality of second parts (OX', OX'', OX'''), which are transported with mixing with the first parts at least at two different stages.

EFFECT: invention ensures uniform temperature inside the firing chamber along the whole width of the furnace.
