SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating systems which comprise an aerosol-generating device connected to a module. Aerosol-generating system comprises an aerosol-generating device comprising a casing, a first module, a second module and a third module. First module is made with possibility of functional connection with the aerosol generating device, with the second module and with the third module. Second module is made with possibility of connection with the first module, with the third module and with the aerosol generating device. Third module is made with possibility of functional connection with the aerosol generating device, with the first module and with the second module. Each of the first module, the second module and the third module are operably connected to the aerosol generating device indirectly through the other of the first module, a second module or a third module, wherein the other of the first module, second module or third module is connected to the aerosol generating device directly through the casing.
EFFECT: enabling the user to select the corresponding secondary functionality by selecting modules to be added.
