FIELD: ship-raising and underwater technical works.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method of raising ships and submarines from the bottom using floating lifting equipment, when the mass of the vessel being lifted is greater than the total lifting capacity of the lifting equipment, auxiliary ballasting pontoons of appropriate sizes are used, installed and secured on the frame of a ship-gripping device corresponding to the vessel being lifted, hung on hook hangers directly or with the use of intermediate slings for the subsequent lowering of the gripping device with auxiliary pontoons installed on it, which have received ballast water, to grip the vessel lying on the bottom, and then lift it on cargo crane ropes and with the help of the additional lifting force of the floating pontoons, freed from ballast water by purging or pumping.
EFFECT: possibility of lifting and transporting a raised vessel, the mass of which is greater than the lifting capacity of the raising equipment.
