FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of carbon-containing solid fuel, including oil shale and coal, for production of power and process gases. By reducing the activation energy of decomposition reactions of the carbon-containing solid fuel, the catalysts enable the process to be carried out at a lower temperature. As a result of thermal gasification of carbon-containing solid fuel, combustible gas is generated. Specific heat of combustion of generated combustible gas is from 5,700 to 6,200 kJ/nm3. Combustible gases leaving the gasification zone during the implementation of the proposed method, due to the catalytic action of the oxides, have temperature of 600–800 °C.
EFFECT: reduced emissions of resinous substances during gasification of solid fuel and increased heat of combustion of power gas.
