FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to production of catalysts for conversion of hydrocarbons, for example for processes of steam conversion of hydrocarbons in tube furnaces, in order to obtain process gas used in production of ammonia, methanol and hydrogen, and can be used in chemical, petrochemical and other industries. Described is a method of producing a catalyst by preparing a mixture containing alumina, titanium oxide, boric acid, manganese oxide, lanthanum oxide, taken in weight ratio, respectively, %: 87.32–94.30 : 0.07–1.43 : 0.24–5.87 : 0.01–3.91 : 0.11–7.10, adding a binder, which includes paraffin, wax and oleic acid, melding the support in the form of granules by slip casting at an excess pressure of 0.4–2.0 MPa at temperature of 70–80 °C, drying in air, calcining the carrier in a single step at temperature of 1,380–1,420 °C in ceramic moulds in a layer of technical carbon, after calcining, impregnating the support with a solution of nickel and aluminium and/or lanthanum nitrate salts, drying and calcining the catalyst mass at 400–500 °C. Finished catalyst has the following composition, wt.%: nickel oxide – 8.5–24.5; titanium oxide – 0.05–2.1; boron oxide – 0.1–3.0; manganese oxide – 0.01–2.8; lanthanum oxide – 0.1–5.0; aluminium oxide – balance.

EFFECT: creation of a simplified, time-reduced, cost-effective technology of obtaining a highly active catalyst for conversion of hydrocarbons.
