FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to finishing of bearing rings. Abrasive bars are arranged in tool head around machined part surface at an angle. Rotation of the part and the said head is imparted. Said bars are rotated in tool head about axis intersecting axis of rotation of part and head in centre of symmetry of processed profile, combined with centre of symmetry of bars. Angle of intersection of the axes of the bars and the part and the width of the abrasive bars are determined by formulas:
where α is technological angle of intersection of axes of rotation of bars and part; e is the radial clearance in the bearing for which the machined part is intended; 1eff is the effective length of the roller in the bearing, for which the machined part is intended; L is the width of the abrasive bars; D is the diameter of the processed surface of the part; B is the width of the processed part; K1 = 10–15 – coefficient taking into account the bars wear.
EFFECT: higher quality and efficiency of finishing.
