Purpose of the invention is expansion of functional capabilities. Excitation system includes synchronous generator 1 having armature winding 2 and inductor winding 3, which is connected to the output of first rectifier 4, summing transformer 5, having four windings: primary current 6; primary voltage 7; secondary winding 8 and control winding 9, voltage corrector 10, external direct current source 11, first electronic switch 12, current transformer 13, shunt 14, second rectifier 15, analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) 16, first 17 and second 18 memory registers, pulse distributor 19, stable frequency pulse generator 20, subtractor 21, setting register 22, first numerical comparator 23, first differentiator 24, RS-trigger 25, second differentiator 26, first OR gate 27, START bus 28, shaper-limiter 29, inverter 30, first AND 31, second 32 and third 33 AND gates, second OR gate 34, third 35, fourth 36 and fifth 37 differentiators, second 38, third 39, fourth 40, fifth 41 and sixth 42 electronic keys, second RS-trigger 43, second 44 and third 45 numerical comparators, delay element 46, third 47 and fourth 48 memory registers, resistor 49, transistor 50, digital-to-analog converter (DAC) 51 and fourth AND gate 52, full power sensor with digital output 53, second setting register 54, fourth numerical comparator 55, pulse divider 56, fifth logic element 57, and subtracting counter 58.

EFFECT: system provides high boosting capacity at load surge and shedding and excludes generator overload in parallel operation mode.
