SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for addition to a thermoplastic polymer. Composition contains one or more derivatives of trimesic acid of formula (I), wherein R1, R2 and R3 are independently selected from a group consisting of C1-C5 alkyl groups. 70 % or more of groups R1, R2 and R3 of derivatives of trimesic acid of formula (I), which are present in the composition, are in the cis-position relative to the bond with the nitrogen atom attached to the cyclohexanediyl fragment. Invention also relates to a polymer composition for producing thermoplastic articles, containing (a) said composition and (b) a polyolefin polymer.

EFFECT: polymer compositions containing trimesic acid derivatives of formula (I) exhibit very low levels of turbidity and minimal release of the trimesic acid derivative from the polyolefin polymer.
