METHOD OF POLYMER FLOODING OF OIL FORMATIONS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E21B43/20 E21B43/22 E21B43/24 C09K8/588

Abstract RU 2822789 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used in development of deposits, where oil production is carried out using water flooding in conditions of restrictions on injectivity of injection wells. Method of polymer flooding of oil formations includes injection of injection agents into injection wells with provision of required level of injectivity without exceeding maximum allowable bottomhole pressure in injection wells. Heated aqueous polymer solution is injected into some injection wells, while hot water is injected into other injection wells, with provision of uniform alternation of injection agents over the area. At the same time pumping is carried out for not more than 1 month. After that pumping agent at all injection wells is changed to the opposite one. Further, injection agents are alternated with injection duration increasing to no more than 3 months. Temperature of injection agents is used above reservoir temperature and is determined from results of laboratory and computational experiments for conditions of oil reservoir.

EFFECT: increasing sweep and displacement coefficients, oil recovery factor, increasing current oil flow rates, reducing the rate of development of water content of the product.
