FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for positioning electrocardiographic electrodes on a chest. In this case, the element of clothing with sensors fixed in it is put on the user. Sensors are located in the item of clothing at the distances specified in accordance with the size of the chest relative to two available in the item of clothing, indicated by the colour and/or curvature of the surface of mutually perpendicular vertical and horizontal lines of the item of clothing. Reference point is determined on the user’s body by finding on the front surface of the chest the point of intersection of the vertical midline of the body and the horizontal line of the body passing through the points of attachment of the lower border of the ribs to the sternum on the right and on the left. After putting on the item of clothing, the found vertical line on the body is aligned with the vertical line in the item of clothing and a horizontal line on the body with a horizontal line in the item of clothing or one of the lines on the body is combined with a similar line on the item of clothing and the reference point on the body is aligned with the point of intersection of two lines available in the item of clothing, indicated by the colour and/or curvature of the surface.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and convenience of ECG measurements.
