SUBSTANCE: invention relates to auxiliary devices for training techniques of haircuts during training. Disclosed is a method for practicing haircutting skills using a device for practicing haircutting skills, which comprises: a base configured to be attached to the mannequin head, and a middle portion attached to the base and configured to rotate relative to the base and to be fixed, wherein the middle part comprises a slot; and an upper part attached to the middle part with possibility of sliding and fixation in the slot, wherein the upper part is also configured to rotate relative to the middle part; at that, on the base there is an angular scale with angular symbols corresponding to different angles of rotation of the middle part relative to the base, at that, along the length of the middle part along the slot, on one side from it, linear scale is applied with designations corresponding to different linear positions of upper part in slot, note here that angular scales with angular markings corresponding to different angles of rotation of the top part relative to the middle part are applied along the length of the middle part.
